Frequently asked questions
What counts as a client?+
One client = one active Xero organisation connected to ChaseDesk. Archived or disconnected orgs don't count toward your billing.
What if a client sends more than 100 documents in a month?+
On Starter and Pro, additional documents above your per-client cap are charged at $0.20 each and added to your next invoice. You'll receive an in-app alert when any client reaches 80% of their limit. Scale includes unlimited documents.
Do I pay per seat?+
Never. All plans include unlimited team members. Bring your whole firm.
Can I mix annual and monthly billing?+
Your entire account is on one billing cycle. You can switch between annual and monthly at renewal.
Can I change plans mid-cycle?+
Yes. Upgrading takes effect immediately and is prorated. Downgrading takes effect at the next renewal date.
Do my SMB clients need to download anything?+
No. They receive a magic upload link by email (or SMS on Pro and Scale). They tap, upload, done. No account, no app, no password.
Is Xero the only integration?+
Yes, for now. ChaseDesk is built exclusively for Xero practices. QuickBooks Online support is on the roadmap.
Do you offer a partner or wholesale program?+
Yes. Firms that rebill ChaseDesk to clients receive 30% off. Contact us to apply.
What happens when I cancel?+
Your account stays active until the end of your current billing period. After that, your firm's data is retained for 30 days so you can export anything you need, then permanently deleted.
